If you no longer wish to do business with the Company, you can request the deletion of your account by emailing our data protection officer. Personal information linked to your account will be deleted.

If your information has been shared with third parties with your consent, its use and retention will be subject to their policies, and the Company cannot be held responsible.

i) General Security Measures: The Company implements appropriate security measures, including physical, electronic, and procedural measures, to protect your personal information from unauthorized access and disclosure. Only authorized employees can access personal information when necessary for administrative functions. We also use firewalls.

While the Company takes legally required security measures, no security system is foolproof. You understand and accept:

a) That there are security and management limitations regarding the personal information collected by the Company that are beyond its control;
b) That the security, integrity, and management of all personal information and data exchanged between you and the Company via the site cannot be guaranteed;
c) That such personal information may be viewed or altered by a third party during transmission.

ii) Data Protection by Design: The Company implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure data protection by design, minimizing data collection and aiming for data anonymization in compliance with legal requirements.

iii) Default Data Protection: The Company ensures that, by default, only the personal information necessary for each specific processing purpose is processed, limiting its accessibility to a defined number of individuals.

iv) Notification of a Privacy Breach: In case of a privacy incident, the Company will take reasonable measures to mitigate risks and will maintain a breach registry detailing the facts, effects, affected individuals, and corrective actions taken. If an incident poses a serious risk of harm, the Company will promptly notify the Access to Information Commission and affected individuals.

 

For the notice to the Commission, it shall include at a minimum:

a. a description of the nature of the incident;

b. details of the categories and the approximate number of affected individuals and personal information records;

c. the name and contact details of the Company's Personal Information Protection Officer or the designated contact point for further information;

d. a description of the probable consequences of the Privacy Incident, to the extent possible;

e. a description of the measures taken or those proposed by the Company to address the Privacy Incident, including, where applicable, measures to mitigate any potential negative consequences.

For the notice to any individual affected by the Privacy Incident, it shall include at least the information and measures outlined in points a, c, d, and e above. When assessing the risk of harm to a person whose personal information is involved in a Privacy Incident, the Company shall consider, in particular, the sensitivity of the information concerned, the anticipated consequences of its use, and the likelihood of it being used for harmful purposes.

11. Retention Period of Personal Information

Your personal information is retained for an indefinite period as long as required by law or as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy.

12. Precedence

​

In the event of any inconsistency between this Policy and the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, the provisions of said Act shall prevail.

 

This Policy is effective as of January 1 st, 2025.
