ASICC-MED’s telehealth solutions consist of comprehensive remote monitoring and diagnostic systems, which integrate clinical healthcare data delivery, medical information organization and management services. In other words, ASICC-MED’s telehealth services provide interactive healthcare utilizing modern technology and telecommunications.
Advances in Remote Medical Monitoring
As you already know, medical discoveries happen on a daily basis, and as such, the medical field and the approach to patient care is changing quickly. It’s no longer necessary for a patient and a healthcare provider to be in the same location simultaneously in order to administer treatment. For years, the telephone has enabled doctors to practice limited aspects of medicine over vast distances without travelling, a benefit of great importance to patients who live in remote areas. With further advances in digital and communications technologies, the number of healthcare applications that can be administered remotely is increasing rapidly.
Today’s telecommunications infrastructure of satellites, the Internet, and telephone wires, coupled with advances in the ability to capture, store, transmit, and display electronic representations of medical information, allow doctors to do many things remotely that they have traditionally done in person. Because the problems associated with travelling to deliver or receive medical care are substantial, telemedicine, loosely defined as the remote delivery of healthcare via telecommunications, is a concept that is rapidly becoming a practical method of healthcare delivery.

Confidential Services
ASICC-MED's remote monitoring addresses patient confidentiality issues so that customers can feel secure when using the service. The patient interacts with a user-friendly Patient Care Unit, which collects data from the appropriate devices. The Home Care Unit is simple to use and includes optional features, such as reminder alarms and interactive instruction screens. Patients can be remotely monitored using wireless ECG or event monitors, blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, oximeters and spirometers for the following:
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Weight measurement
- ECG vital signs monitoring
- SpO2 monitoring
- Respiratory monitoring
- Blood glucose monitoring
- Other types of remote monitoring are also possible.
ASICC-MED’s Central Unit includes a call centre available to answer all calls from remote patients. Our telehealth personnel will also follow up and verify if patients monitored their daily vital signs. In event patients do not initiate the prescribed monitoring and send the data to the Central Unit, the Call Centre will contact these patients for a reminder.
